Coldest night of the year
48 Hours To Go!
The first ever Coldest Night of the Year Walk takes place THIS SATURDAY!
Things to know:
- Please arrive at 555 Windsor St. at 4:00 to leave plenty of time for check-in.
- Parking is available in the lot across the street.
- Dress warm! The forecast calls for temperatures as low as 20 degrees. The 5K walk will take an hour or so, so wear layers, gloves, head covering, and comfortable shoes.
- Donations accepted the night of the event, so feel free to bring your checks or cash.
On February 22nd, Community Renewal Team (CRT) and the Connecticut Coalition to End Homelessness (CCEH) will join thousands across the country in hosting the first Coldest Night of the Year Walk in Connecticut. This 5K Walk Event is an opportunity to come together to experience the challenges and hazards faced by those who are outside, while raising awareness and funds to provide our vulnerable neighbors with the services and supports they need to become housed.

- 4:00 P.M. – Registration
- 4:45 P.M. – Leadership Remarks
- 5:00 P.M. – 5K Walk to the Capital & Back (With 2K Option)
- 6:00 P.M. – Community Dinner
