Award Descriptions
Carol E. Walter Think, Be, Lead Change Award
Recognizing exceptional achievement in housing and homeless services, this award is named after Carol Walter for her pragmatic approach to ending homelessness. It honors those who drive the mission of ending homelessness within their agency or through coalition work.
Be Homeful Award for Innovative Work to End Family Homelessness
Part of CCEH’s be homeful project, this award celebrates individuals or groups pioneering effective methods to end family homelessness in their communities.
David R. Kennedy Community Champions Award
Acknowledges teams of leaders, providers, or frontline staff who have significantly enhanced the delivery of housing and services, to prevent, assist, and house those experiencing homelessness. This award is named after David Kennedy for his tireless work driving impact through collaboration.
Homelessness Social Justice Award
This award honors a leader who champions innovative practices, collaborates broadly, and develops creative solutions to social challenges. It is presented to a leader, policymaker, or agency committed to solving complex issues through diverse partnerships.
