This training is in partnership with the Connecticut Department of Housing with Pat Kelson Associates, a certified inspection company, providing practical training on conducting Housing Quality Standards (HQS) inspections for HUD-funded programs. Housing Quality Standards (HQS) are minimum standards for tenant-based programs and are required both at initial occupancy and during the term of the lease. HQS standards apply to the building and premises, as well as to the unit. This training will provide background information on the Housing Quality Standards, thoroughly review how to properly inspect a unit (exterior and interior) as well as how to complete the inspection form. This training is open to all Connecticut HUD-funded programs and RRH/PSH providers are strongly encouraged to attend.
