Welcome to CCEH’s new blog (and website)

May 11, 2015

Welcome to the Connecticut Coalition to End Homelessness’s new blog! We are delighted to have this forum for a more interactive conversation about trends in homelessness and opportunities to engage with our providers’ efforts to end homelessness in Connecticut.

Our new website and blog come at an exciting time. On Thursday, 400 people involved in the fight to end homelessness will gather at the Connecticut Convention Center for CCEH’s 13th Annual Training Institute to explore important topics such as tools for ending chronic homelessness, outcomes from the first-ever statewide count of homeless and runaway youth, shelter diversion, and resources for supporting our state’s homeless liaisons in the schools to serve the needs of this most vulnerable population.

In addition, we are excited that we will very soon be announcing the results of the annual Point-in-Time Count, so please keep your eyes on this site for critical information offering a snapshot of Connecticut homelessness. Data is an increasingly important driver of our efforts to end homelessness, and the 2015 Point-in-Time and Youth Homelessness counts provide critical information. I will write more in a separate post next week about the outcomes from these important projects.

Again, I welcome you to this new site and hope that this will be the start of an even more vibrant dialogue about how we can work together to end homelessness in our state. Many thanks for your passion and interest in our work!

Sincerely,

Lisa Tepper Bates
