The Connecticut State Department of Education is seeking proposals for the McKinney-Vento grant program for the education of homeless children and youth. Eligible applicants include only local or regional boards of education or regional educational service centers (RESCs) in Connecticut that serve an identified homeless population of children and youth. Applicants are required to submit proposals that provides sufficient detail on the needs of local homeless children and youth with goals, objectives, activities, and expenditures – including key partnerships with local organizations that serve this population.
This webinar will outline the current proposal and application process. Additionally, CCEH will address how Connecticut schools, Coordinated Access Networks (CANs), Youth Engagement Team Initiatives (YETIs), and others can work together to end youth homelessness in our state by 2020.
